Monster Splat Art

Looking for an art activity that is simple yet suitable for all ages?

This summer we had a go at making Splat Monsters. Fear not parents it isn’t as messy as it sounds! Our kids had a wonderful time letting their imaginations run wild, creating Bob the Blob and a variety of other wacky creations.

If you fancy adding another little monster to your own tribe here is what you’ll need…….

  • Card/ white paper
  • Bubble wrap or cling film
  • Felt tip pens
  • Googly stick on eyes
  • Paint
  • Glue

Pour a few blobs of paint onto your paper. You can use as many colours as you wish!

Here comes the fun part! Place a piece of bubble wrap or clingfilm over the paint and squash it down with your fingers to mix the paint around.

Peel away the cling film or bubble wrap and leave to dry. When dry put the googly eyes in place. Use coloured felt tips to add arms, legs, spikes or horns.

Have fun, be creative and please share your creations with us!
